Candida Diet Recipes are Available in Books and on the Internet
Candida diet recipes are necessary in order to keep you following your diet plan. Because there are quite a few foods which are restricted on a Candida diet, it could likely become quite boring. Adding a lot of texture and spices can make the Candida diet much more interesting and tasteful.
Fructose, dextrose, lactose, and any other form of sugar can not only stop Candida from getting better, it will in fact make it quite worse. There are sugars hidden in many items where we would not expect it to be. This is why it is necessary to always check labels to ensure that it is not an ingredient. Fruit is high in natural sugar. Even though the fruit is good for you, the sugar that it contains may create a serious worsening of your Candida. If you choose to eat fruit on your Candida diet, you must limit it to a very small amount each day.
Any foods which have been aged will definitely make your Candida worse. Leftovers, mushrooms, truffles, wine, and most cheese should be eliminated from the diet. Anything which may possibly have mold spores or fungus will encourage Candida to grow within your body.
You may eat cheeses, but only if they are melted. They must also not be aged, such a blue cheese, gouda, and the like. You may use your allowed cheese to make lasagna or may be even a chef’s salad. Fresh vegetables, especially leafy vegetables are encouraged on the Candida diet, so you may make this as big as you like.
It is recommended that any meat which is consumed on the Candida diet be organic. Non organic meats come from many different places. They use a lot of different feeding methods and chemicals with some cattle. If you stick with organic, you will know exactly what you are getting. You should also not eat any processed meats, such as beef jerky or cold cuts.
Large amounts of dairy products should be avoided. However yogurt which contains acidophilus can be quite helpful in combating Candida. If this yogurt contains fruit it must be limited to just a few tablespoons daily. There is also live acidophilus as well as tablets and available in most health food stores these days.
Keep in mind that you may eat just about all vegetables, as long as they are fresh. Vegetables from a can have been processed. These are not as healthful as fresh, and will not help to eliminate Candida.
