How To Use Flyers For Smarter Marketing
As if tight budgets were not enough, smaller businesses now have to do an even more difficult tightrope walk due to the onset of global recession. With a scarcity of funds and resources, the small businesses should invest tactfully so that maximum output is reaped from their initiatives. One of the ways of doing this, without compromising on competitiveness, is by using cost-effective promotional strategies, which is where flyer printing comes into the picture.
It would surely be giving you sleepless nights if you have to pump in your hard-earned earnings on costly marketing plans, when all you want to advertise is a small business like a restaurant or a garment store. Moreover, such methods are often not even appropriate for a local company.
Flyer printing does not cost as much as other advertising methods, and if done correctly, it can significantly enhance the reputation and visibility of your business. It is one of the most eye-catching ways of marketing, and of generating an unaided recall in the consumer’s mind.
Before you print flyers, you must give careful thought to several factors. The paper selected should be the right thickness. The final design version of the flyer should be checked thoroughly so that mistakes do not creep in. An inaccurately printed flyer falls flat before the viewers and creates a negative impression about your company. Colours and tones should be complimentary in a flyer and should neither be too bleak nor too loud. Moreover, the pictures displayed on the flyer should be chosen carefully and should have a good resolution.
It is important for local establishments to try out flyer printing and see the results for themselves. It is a good marketing strategy. It will save you money and effort, which you can channelize in running your business more effectively.

No commentsImportance Of Corporate Gifts In A Slow Economy
Prosperous businesses always rely on good relationships with their clients to continue performing well. A company can easily sail through the bad economy if it has been successful in pleasing and maintaining good relationship with the clients. Corporate gifts are an unfailing way of maintaining good relationship with your clients. They are a cost-effective way of keeping your client happy, and hence they are suitable for bad economic times also.
While selecting a corporate gift, the receiver should always be a prime consideration, as the sole objective of the gift is to please the recipient. Corporate gifts could be distributed for the promotion of a new product or service launch or given on special occasions such as New Year to show clients appreciation and attempt to maintain a long term relationship.
Corporate gifts can range from cost-effective products like coffee mugs, showpieces and stationery to more expensive and refined items like a bottle of good wine. The gift could be embedded with the company’s logo to ensure that it remains in the memory of the receiver for a long time.
Think about a gift that gives when you are considering about corporate gifts. More and more people are changing to different ways of thinking and want others to gain. Buy1GIVE1, KIVA and Change The Present are organisations that can offer gift value to your clients and staff. Check Buy1GIVE1 out at www.b1g1.com.
The gifts must be of exceptional quality or else the strategy will backfire. The quality of a gift plays a pivotal role as you don’t want the customers to misjudge the gesture of gifting. In a bad economy where the customers are always searching for better deals elsewhere, it is even more critical not to give them any reason to feel unhappy about your company.
Corporate gifts therefore are one of the best marketing options under the constraints of a restricted budget. If used judiciously, they can help a business keep customer relationships alive through the turmoil of recession.

No commentsNon Woven Bags Can Be Great Corporate Gift Items
Any company, large or small, needs to market itself to attract customers. Marketing can have many considerations, such as cost, effect on the environment and the reach of the promotion tool employed. A well known and effective way of promoting a business and its brands is by giving away gifts. Gifts could be given away either to the customers or the workforce of the organization. It doesn’t have to be costly, you just need to do a little research online and be inventive in choosing it.
As corporate gifts, non woven bags can be a very good choice. Non woven bags are manufactured using a recyclable substance called polypropylene. The fabric is safe for the environment and is totally non-toxic. In this era of environment awareness, people prefer such products. Thus non- woven bags have become popular as corporate gifts.
Non woven bags offer many options to people in terms of size and printing styles. As per the requirement, non woven bags can be manufactured in all possible colours, and this makes them suitable for carrying slogans and logos. The printing on these bags is fairly simple and more importantly cheap, as they use polypropylene as fabric.
Non woven bags are very colourful and fashionable, and so they often end up becoming a shopper’s favourite accessory. These bags act like mini marketing billboards that people take with them when they go out for their errands. Thus brand marketing happens immediately and free of cost. It becomes a great marketing strategy that will drive sales and grow your business in a very creative and simple way.
Apart from them being wonderful stand-alone gifts, these bags also serve as gift containers when other marketing articles are placed inside them and given to customers. Employees can be presented these bags as gifts, and they will feel glad to be proud possessors of such bags with their company’s logo on them.

No commentsInvestor Mind Control: Is It For Real?
Discovering the ‘thumbscrews’ of investors is crucial to getting them to take action. In over a decade of dealing with global investors there are several elements that I’ve discovered to be universal truths about the mind of the private investor (angel investor, accredited investor).
When talking to an investor for the first time, it’s more important to listen than to speak. It’s more important to ask questions than answer them. It’s more important to discover their needs and wants than to exclaim your own. Your first conversation with an investor should be all about piercing the armor and finding the trigger points that prompt a reaction that gets to the center of their ‘childlike’ state.
What I mean by this is, investors, just like anyone else, has insecurities that are rooted in their childhood and what they are outwardly today, is typically a polar opposite of what they are on the inside. For example, an arrogant, chest beater seems proud and obnoxious on the outside but the reality is that they are over compensating for an insecurity that is rooted in an individual or collection of childhood incidents.
Maybe they were made fun of as a child, maybe they’re father was verbally abusive, maybe their teachers would single them out in class opening them up to playground mockery. When talking to these individuals it’s important to listen to their voice and intonation when the conversation topic changes. Take notes on their psychological adjustments to the conversation. After you feel you have discovered the triggers that induce the ‘pleasurable’ responses, end the call, and set your second phone appointment with them.
On that second call, you want to have your conversation ready to go using the triggers you found in the first conversation. Play off of those insecurities that you found, become their best friend without being chummy but it is your mission on this call to be the “guy that understand me” to the investor. You want the overall tone of this conversation to have the response from your target along the theme of, “wow, this guy gets me” , “I can see investing in this company”.
By using this method and not coming across as ‘fake’, you have become an investment opportunity and a shrink all rolled into one. You want to be the one person that this investor can lower his guard to because everything he says, you seem to be the one person who understands him at his deepest level. You seem to naturally be tuned into his insecurities, emotions, needs and wants. Sound strange? Try this out on the next investor you talk to, I guaranty you will be shocked with the results.

I met Jay in June 1977 when he came to our home to meet my husband, a well known certified hypnotherapist. Jay was hoping to be able to study under him. As an astrologer, I asked him for his date, time and place of birth so I could do him a chart. After about a minute I made a startling discovery and returned to tell him what I had found. I think Jay found this a little strange but I said to him, Something special is going to happen to you soon. You will be guided there and this experience will change your life and someone you know will be there to observe.
Eventually, Jay met my husband and they worked together for some time. Jay had some blood pressure and stress issues so they did three hypnosis sessions together to sort the problem. Later on, they started to study together and Lee gave Jay perhaps seven to ten books per week to read; ever expanding Jays mind on cultures and beliefs, mind sciences and cult influences, and much more. He also recommended classes; the Loving Relationship Training by Sondra Lee and a series by Theta Seminars on Metaphysics.
Jay began to attend a class called Spiritual Psychology taught by a husband and wife team from Missouri. They had been into natural healing, natural childbirth with doctors and absolutely unique notions for a period in time.
Most of Jays friends thought he was crazy to be attending classes like that on weekends when he could have been water skiing, boating, enjoying life, playing with women at bars, or just getting drunk like some of his clients. But, Jay was content with studying Metaphysics and Healing.
It was at the second Theta Seminar that the special event occurred. It was August 1977 and Jay was in the classroom which was in a loft on 22nd Street in New York City. In the class, they had discussed the cycles of birth and death and their influence on the soul. They did some breathing, meditation and thinking about their own birth.
Jay remembered that his was traumatic, as his mother had gone into a coma and he was born two months premature. Then, he suddenly realized that he was meant to be born early; his weight was already 8 lbs. 15 ounces and his mother was very tiny at 411 to handle the Big Guy coming into the world.
He was able to absolve himself for wearing out his mother at birth with his size and weight. He forgave his mother for falling unconscious at his birth and missing his first two weeks of life on Earth. What an experience it was for him. Feeling the forgive-ness made Jay feel lighter.
The next part of the class was the chanting and rocking session. Jay, still feeling that lightness as the group of six in his team began elevating and rocking him to music and chants. One at a time, the team was lifting each person up and then rocking the fully elevated person before slowly returning them to the ground.
Back then Jay weighed 280 pounds and there they were, trying to get him up in the air. He felt as light as a feather, totally relaxed as he was rocked back and forth. During the session the window was open and suddenly a weird cool-damp breeze came through into the room, exactly where they were rocking Jay. A bolt of what appeared to be lightning hit Jay at the top of his head. The group pulled their hands away and he floated down to the ground.
Then Jay slowly opened his eyes and touched the top of his head. It felt warm. As he sat up, he was surprised to see me standing over him, looking at him. He remembered what I had said to him when we first met, And someone you know will be there to observe. Jay closed his eyes and his head was filled with ideas and formulas and concepts and the words just know that you know.
Then since that moment, he knew the past, present and the future. He foresaw floods, tornados, the economic crisis of 2007- on … he was frightened, but understood. He knew about others just by looking at their faces, their eyes or from their handwriting. And there is so much more that he knew he would come know.
The question for Jay in all of this is, if there is so much that he knows, then how can he use it to help everyone throughout the rest of his life?

No comments5 Ways To Send Free Targeted Traffic To Your Website
A majority of marketers start their business fine at first. They get their website up and running or hire somebody to get it up, but when it comes to marketing the website they are kept totally in the dark. The #1 problem experienced today in online business is traffic.
In this article you are going to hear about five of my favorite methods for attracting massive amounts of free traffic without any investment… You will not be using PPC, Banners or buy any more links from unrelated websites!
#1 – Article Marketing – Writing and submitting articles is still one of the most effective way to boost your visitors, increase search engine rankings and build credibility.
#2 – Video Marketing – A great way to get popular and spread your message is through the use of videos. When you post and submit valuable videos to video sharing sites you get a backlink, as well as the opportunity to attract your crowd.
#3 – Forum Marketing – Does your niche have a forum with 100,000 people in it? Well, you better be there to interact with them and share your knowledge. You are sure to see some great results from being active in the biggest forums in your niche.
#4 – SEO – The best and most common way to drive free traffic is to search engine optimize your website to get free targeted traffic from the search engines, without any middle man! That means a lot of work on backlinks and onpage optimization. With a little bit of effort, and greater effort than you competitors you’ll see your website climb in the Search Engines.
#5 – Social Marketing – A great method that many people do not understand how to use is social media marketing. You should be interesting and fun, while hanging out at the biggest websites, such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and having a blog. Grab the attention of the people and redirect them to your website for great results.
These are some great examples of what you can do to attract free targeted traffic to your websites, but if you look around the internet for more information you’ll find that there is a lot more to the puzzle.

No commentsHow To Increase Your Product With Customized Magnets
Of all the appliances you have in your residence, the refrigerator would be the one that displays the most promotional magnets. Some of these magnets must have been with your family for decades and have survived many a refrigerator and are probably older than you.
Personalized magnets are a|an effective way to keep your brand in front of your customers and to be seen by new prospects. The average consumer opens the refrigerator door at least three times a day. Imagine having your name and number exposed on the refrigerator door every time people in the household get something to drink or eat. Restaurants wanting to advertise their new delivery number can successfully do so by simply impressing refrigerator magnets with their hotline.
Logo magnets are also the least expensive way to promote your product. Depending on the material and the complexity of your logo, a magnet can range from a dime to fifty cents. Just see how much you have stretched your marketing dollar with magnets. To maximize every dollar you spend on promotional magnets, here are some ideas to keep in mind:
Buy in bulk: the more promotional items you buy, the more economical. Plus, this ensures that you will have a lot of spare magnets to hand out at any event that calls for freebies:
Make sure your name or logo is easily spotted on the magnet. The idea of handing out promotional magnets is for people to get to know your service. If your business client has to squint or look closely at the magnet to decipher your brand, then you need to redo your gifts.
Select a magnet design that fits your business to a tee. Are you building up a hamburger chain? Refrigerator magnets that come in hamburger, shake, or fries shapes are sure to help customers identify your company easily.

No commentsMLM – If Its So Good, How Come The Majority Fail? – Here Is Why!
We have all tried it – been infected with other peoples enthusiasm and decided to join an MLM or Network Marketing business. Plenty of money changed hands (out of mine and into others) and I embarked on a crusade of bombarding my friends and family.
After a few months, I found that no-one left in my address book were returning my calls and the ones who had joined were not doing much. So, things petered out and after a year I could not even remember what the whole thing was about.
So, I put the experience down to one of the lessons in life – and the main lesson was ‘MLM does not work’. After a time my friends came back after they realised that the madness that had infected me had passed and I was now the normal Alan again.
This a story that will be familiar to many people, given that 96% of all MLM newbies have this type of disappointing experience.
Then, I became involved in a standard non MLM business and after some time of trying this – I had some success and though not metioric, I did learn some things. The most valuable lesson was, my perspective had changed. When I got a second opportunity to try MLM again, this time I found myself willing and able to think outside of the box and it is this that made the difference.
I sat down and analysed why so many people could fail when 4% of these people did ok and why only 1% made a serious fortune from MLM. So, I went to work finding out why this happened and the results I came up with were startling to say the least.
I asked myself the question about the type of approach with most MLM businesses when compared with a standard one.
I realised that a true business person approaches a business from a certain angle. They fully research their market, they invest in obtaining the correct information and then they invest further in marketing, staffing, premises etc and they pay for accountants, solicitors or lawyers and bookkeepers. One of the key areas here is marketing – or ‘how are they going to get a decent level of customers’.
I then looked at MLM newbies – who usually have an employees mindset – they have little knowledge of the above areas of business and so they invest in the wrong things. Some buy tons of product believing that their business is about selling as much of it as possible.
The next point I found is about the product or service itself. MLM newbies tend to concentrate on this area when this is the least area of concern in an MLM business. I can catagorically declare here that the actual business opportunity itself is of no real importance in the early stages. Of course you will need to know about your product or service to be able to sell it but this is not the most vital of skills to master – if it is so good then it will largely sell itself will it not?
Now at this point I was feeling a bit heady – I could tell that I was onto something now.
Here we have the MLM newbie who has worked their socks off contacting everyone they know and some have joined – others have not. Their downline is packed with individuals who have done exactly the same and while this will generate some funds, it does not generate sufficient to even keep them qualified themselves.
Therefore, urgent action is needed – and this is usually where the purchasing of leads is the next step. This increases the money out and does give some activity but after some hard work trying to get people in, a typical positive response rate is around 2%. I truth, these new people are no different than those in the Family and Friends that were initially recruited and several months down the line, it is realised that the money spent on the marketing effort has not been replaced and you realize that this is not the way to become financially successful.
When I studied how the top 1% work, I realised that they do it much differently. They invest into their business by obtaining the right information. Most of that data costs money because it is valuable and it has usually been produced by the millionaires who were in this 1%.
I therefore invested in myself and spent less than I would have done on lists to obtain the information services. I therefore invested in elements which were necessary for my success – at least in my opinion. I downloaded books, articles and watched online videos and I realized that I had hit the golden seam – this was definitely it.
After much study I began to understand that the best way to approach MLM was to recruit other good MLM people who were facing the same dilemma as me. These people were who I wanted to have in my own downline – but one problem – they already had an MLM opportunity of their own so how was I going to achieve this ? – I asked myself.
Thank goodness that I had accidentally stumbled upon a great information resource which was low cost and which contained the guidance that I was seeking. It became clear to me that leadership and direction was what I needed to offer to me team if I was going to copy the great MLM entrepreneurs. I begin to understand that the only way to get these existing MLM people to follow me was to lay down a clear path which would help them succeed themselves. I would stop being the Hunter and become the Hunted.
That is the basis of my new discovery in a nutshell, anyone who wants to become a successful MLM entrepreneur needs to think differently. If you think the way you always have, you will get the results you have always got, so you have to do something different. The person that I had chosen to be the subject of my study was one of the most successful MLM business person on the planet. This man had used the same new principles that I had just heard about to build one of the most successful MLM downlines in history.
I am now in the process of building a strong team in my opportunity. I do not concentrate on the opportunity itself until the rest has been put into place. When a new person contacts me – I actually vet them first. I do not want to waste my valuable time with someone who will not follow my system fully – I am just not interested in doing this any longer.
If you show to your own downline direction and leadership, they will follow you and others will be attracted to your downline – would you not join someone who had the answers to the question “where am I going to get top performing people from?”
Thank you very much for reading my article and I hope that it hsa helped you to realize what the secret recipe to be successful in MLM, whether your business is located in the USA, UK Europe or even Timbuktoo.

The Benefits Of Point Of Sale Systems Are Becoming More Apparent
The early days of using a cash register and pen and notebook for accounting and processing transactions are no longer an effective means of keeping up with today’s advancements in business technology. In order to stay competitive businesses have to adapt and change with emerging technologies. A technological advancement that businesses are now using is the point-of-sale (POS) system. They are now realizing the many benefits POS have on their businesses.
The following are the many benefits of utilizing point of sale systems:
1. POS systems provide a business with a real-time detailed report of sales. This allows businesses to assess what products are being sold and what products are lagging in sales. The business can then implement marketing strategies to boost sales of the popular products. They will also know in real-time what is not selling so they can decide whether or not to order that product. A POS system provides the latest sales reports for the day, week, month, or year.
2. POS allows for improved customer service. Transactions are processed much quicker, item that are scanned for their price are accurate which lessens sales discrepancies.
There is also a wide selection of methods to take payments such as credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, etc.
3. POS provides an efficient method of managing inventory. By being able to view in real time what is selling, they will be able to reorder products that are running low. POS software will also let you know when you need to reorder a product. Businesses can also keep track of the time of day that certain products are selling so they can arrange marketing displays around peak selling times. As well, businesses will spend less time on paperwork, accounting, inventory management, sales record keeping, as well as managing such programs as marketing, special advertising programs, loyalty programs, discount programs, and much more.
4. POS allows for the management of gift cards, coupons, and loyalty programs. This is effective way of monitoring the program and keeping track of the success of the programs.
5. POS systems and software is easy to learn. Most POS sellers will train staff and management on how to use the system. It is also easy to install and maintain. As well, POS software can be integrated into other applications so that all areas of business management can be viewed in one central place. It gives the user better control of the business. As well, technical support is only a phone call away.
6. POS retail software makes it easier to keep track of customer personal information, staff payroll, customer billing and shipping, vendor listings, and inventory management.
The many benefits of point of sale systems make it an essential business investment. The type of retail software a small business chooses depends on the type of business, size of the business, amount of sales, and the type and amount of inventory.
Point of sale systems allow for better management of a business, improve customer satisfaction, and helps increase sales. With POS, businesses are able to run a more effective and efficient operation.
You Have Needs! Discover How to Tap the Acceptable Search Engine Marketing Company
Considering which search engine marketing company (SEM) you should chose is no easy thing. The first company you find is not always the best to meet your needs, which is why it is wise to take your time in choosing a SEM. That way the company you decided on doing business with will be one to accommodate your needs.
Choose a SEM Company You Trust
The most important factor is that you choose a SEM company you can trust. Meet with several different companies to discuss some plans before delving into detailed plans. Your business will enter into a relationship with the company and as this relationship develops, information pertinent to the success of your business will be released. If the company cannot be trusted, you are risking your business’ well being.
To help gauge whether or not the search engine marketing company can be trusted, ask them to provide references. If they are reluctant to provide references, this is a major red flag, as any search engine marketing company with experience and a good reputation in the industry should not fear this. If the company doesn’t have references to provide due to a lack of experience, you’ll need to proceed with caution and gauge other aspects of the interview to determine if they are worth the shot.
Next, ask yourself if the search engine marketing company answer all of your questions to the fullest possible extent without dodging any aspect? If the company is willing to provide any information you ask for without hesitation and willing to fully explain the process, it’s a safe bet you can trust them.
If the search engine marketing company tries to pressure you into anything or services you don’t need or understand, do not trust them. However, understand that sometimes they will point out problems with your site. If they are big problems, then you should correct time because there is no point in paying for advertising is your site cannot convert interested visitors into paying customers.
Determine The Services You Need
Not all search engine marketing companies are created equally. Though there are many basic services such as search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertisement and pay-for-inclusion services, search engine marketing and optimization will involve several different things from a site re-design to new content and marketing to build back links — links to your site from another reputable site — to help increase rankings naturally. Pay-per-click campaigns will advertise your company in the search engine results page on the sidebars, and you will pay each time the ads get clicked. Pay for inclusion services allow you to pay to have search engines crawl certain pages of your website with a certain frequency.
Find a Comfortable Risk Level
Any search engine marketing plan will require an investment before knowing if and how much money the company will earn back in new customers and sales. It is important that you determine beforehand how much risk you are willing to take. Do not let the company pressure you into more.
Take your time in finding and choosing a search engine marketing company. Because of the investment and importance of the business relationship, this is something that should not be rushed into if you expect the best possible results. The search engine marketing company you ultimately choose should understand and be willing to help you with any aspect of making the decision on the right company for your needs.

No commentsRSS Feeds & Analytics – Getting Set Up
RSS – A Brief Intro
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a way of allowing your blog visitors to have your blog posts automatically delivered using a method of their choice rather than having to manually visit your web page every day to check for updates. This is particularly helpful when somebody reads many blogs as they can use a tool called an RSS reader to read all of those blogs in one place.
The RSS feed is a unique URL published by the blog, this is what is needed for your visitors to subscribe to your blog with RSS. You’ll be glad to hear that there is very little to do, as all the blog platforms have the RSS technology already built in, including WordPress. In fact, chances are you won’t have to do anything if you have already chosen your theme.
What you need to look out for is that the RSS icon is displayed prominently in the upper section of your blog theme. If your visitor has to scroll down to find it, use a different one. Ensure that the icon is relatively big and stands out. Basically, you need to make sure that it will draw the visitor’s eye straight to it. If it’s out of sight, it’s unlikely that it will be used.
Should You Choose a Full or Partial Feed?
RSS has a feature that allows just a snippet of your post to be published to your RSS feed and if a reader wants to read the full entry then they must click through to your website to continue reading. By default, WordPress is setup to publish full feeds which means that your entire post is published to the feed. To check what setting you are on, from your WordPress Dashboard click on ‘Settings’ and then ‘Reading’.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods. If you provide a full text feed it means that your reader doesn’t ever need to visit your website again – they can get all of your material directly through their feed reader. Some webmasters don’t like this because it means that those people won’t see their ads that they have on their site. However, all that has changed now as Google has setup a system to allow ads to be embedded directly in your feed.
Now there is something to understand about RSS readers – these are people who understand the Internet, they know what RSS is, they have chosen their RSS reader, they have decided to subscribe to your feed because they want to hear what you have to say and so they are far less likely to click on an ad than somebody who arrived at your website from a search engine. Also, these people are hungry for information which is why they are using RSS in the first place.
The use of an RSS reader will allow them to view all of their chosen blogs speedily and saves them from the need to navigate round a whole horde of websites. The downside, then, of only sending a partial feed to your reader, is that if these people are forced to then have to click and follow through to your website, they may simply not bother, and many may even unsubscribe. This then means that your posts do not get viewed.
It is my recommendation that to grow a social blog and to build a loyal audience that are going to read absolutely everything you ever write, you must make the feed a full one. On the other hand for a heavily monetized and commercial blog that does not require such a large readership, a partial feed would be better.
On-page ads, however, are not the only revenue that can be generated by your blog. When you have learned how to utilise your blog to create much greater revenue streams, it will not matter whether your readers follow your posts on your website or via an RSS feeder. With this in mind, a full feed would be my recommendation.
Utilizing a Feedburner
If you are using the unchanged WordPress theme then you will not need to do anything for viewers to be able to subscribe to your feed. However there will be no way to see how many readers have subscribed. If this is an issue and you want to know your subscriber number, then a Feedburner service will allow you to be able to track it.
Feedburner is a completely free service which is run by Google and it is extremely easy to setup. Once you have signed up all you need to do is to give Feedburner the URL of your original blog feed and it will create a new Feedburner URL for you. Then you edit your WordPress theme to use this URL instead.
What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is a very nice bit of software that will allow you to follow all manner of statistics about your website. For example, the amount of traffic you’ve had, which keywords have been used to reach you, any links that point to your site, your visitors’ location and much more. It is incredibly good software and is totally free!
Once you have signed up you will need to add a website profile for your blog. All you need to do here is put in the URL of your blog and perhaps set your time zone if you want. You will then be shown some code that you need to display on your pages – just click on the code to copy it to the clipboard.
You can add the cod to your WordPress blog manually but this means editing your theme files. Thus if you change the themes, you will have to do it again. Otherwise, I recommend using Semiologic which will manage your Analytics for you. There are comprehensive instructions on the download page, so I won’t go in to detail again here.

Buy Diggs
Many small business owners (maybe like you) are searching for ways of marketing their product or service online that are effective, yet don’t have the hefty costs of marketing through traditional means like PPC advertising or banners. There aren’t many good solutions, however there are one or two which are fantastic.
One of the newest and most effective ways of advertising and traffic generation is being able to buy Diggs and other social bookmarking votes with companies like uSocial.net. It’s quite a fresh approach, but one that’s gaining immense popularity.
The reason that buying social bookmarking votes has become so popular is simply because the cost compared to traditional means of advertising is slashed. For example, it can cost up to $50,000+ to get 100,000 PPC visitors to your site, whereas a site like uSocial can generate the same results in some cases for as little as $200-$300. You should be able to see that’s a massive saving.
Most sites offering these kinds of services only sell votes with Digg, however several also sell votes on others like StumbleUpon, Propeller, Reddit and even Yahoo! Buzz. If you’re looking for versatility, you’ll just need to look around a little.
So, should you buy Digg votes? Well, that’s up to you. Though it’s a practice I’ve been using for months now and it’s slashed my advertising budget many, many times!
Do You Make Any of These Mistakes with Your Packaging Supplies?
So you’ve developed a new product, organised your packaging supplies and are now looking at which countries to ship it to.
There are a number of packaging mistakes made by big companies which has cost them dearly in shipping, recalls and getting new packaging supplies. When it comes down to it, there are really only two things you have to be very careful with.
Translation Problem
Sure, your brand name, slogan and description sound great in the United States, but what happens when you bring your product into another country? How well does it translate? Will you have to change your packaging supplies?
This was the same trap that the Gerber Baby Food Company fell into. When the company launched their line of baby food in French supermarkets, they initially recorded dismal sales. After some closer matrket research, it was pointed out that the word ‘Gerber’ translated into ‘vomiting’ in French.
Now i’m no food critic, but even i’m pretty sure that you wouldn’t buy food that was produced by a company called “Vomiting” down here, as was the case in France.
One Word, Two Meanings
Sometimes there are times where fate just deals you a bad hand. This was the case of a company that launched a diet product.
This second trap that packaging suppliers can fall into is related to incorrect translation. While having your product becoming a household name is a dream for most retailers, there are instances where it can become a household name for all the wrong reasons.
This product gained a firm hold in the 60’s, had continued success in the 70’s however in early eighties, their sales dropped sharply and the brand was everntually discontinued.
Why was this the case? Well, a quick glance at the product packaging would reveal that the pills were called AYDS. Anyone who was alive in the 1980’s would know of the large scale awareness programs going on for a disease of the same sounding name.
Idealy to avoid situations like this, you will want to take a good long hard look at your packaging suppies and make sure that your product still says what its meant to say in the country you’re about to send it to!
MLM Basics – The Multi Level Marketing Business Model
MLM, also known as Multi Level Marketing, can be a wonderful method for achieving your personal and financial dreams when combined with the power of the Internet.
There are literally hundreds of companies which use this business model to move their products from production to the end user and my goal in this article is to provide you with the simple facts on what this industry IS and what it is NOT!
With the information I will provide here, you will be able to make an informed, educated decision as to whether or not this business model is right for you.
Simply put, MLM (as we’ll call it here) is simply a business system for moving products and services from the factory to the marketplace and using a multi level commission payout plan (that’s where the term “Multi Level” comes in)! Another term commonly associated with MLM is Network Marketing due to the nature of the program members working together as a team.
Some people believe that Multi Level Marketing companies are nothing more than scams or illegal pyramid schemes. However, for true MLM companies, nothing could be further from the truth. These people simply do not understand how Multi Level Marketing companies work.
The first thing that you need to know is that MLM is not illegal and it is not a pyramid scheme. While the organizational structure resembles a pyramid in shape, this is true of almost all businesses. There are far more workers in the lower ranks of any business then at the top, if not, the business would collapse. Not everyone in the company can be CEO or Vice President. If fact, Multi Level Marketing companies are one hundred percent legal and many multi-million dollar companies use this business model to market their products.
Many Multi Level Marketing companies have been around for decades. Some of the better known MLM companies are Shaklee, Tupperware, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Amway, A.L. Williams (Insurance), Princess House (a subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive), Melaleuca, MCI, U.S. Sprint, and NSA.
MLM is an explosive growth field and there are hundreds more MLM companies that, just like other companies, include some that are good and some that are not so good. Today, more and more Fortune 500 companies are even embracing Network Marketing for a portion of their marketing portfolio!
So why are MLM companies and programs becoming so popular? Well, the business model offers a wonderful opportunity for the “little guy” to start his own business on a part time basis with very little investment money upfront, but with a large income potential if she or he is willing to put in some work! Contrary to what some people would want you to believe, MLM is certainly not a get rich quick scheme and requires effort to grow your business.
John Paul Getty is often quoted as having said that he would always prefer earning 1% of a hundred peoples efforts than 100% of his own efforts. And that is precisely what Multi Level Marketing is all about. The Multi Level Marketing sales force members are not actually employees of the company, but instead they are independent distributors who are compensated for their efforts by commission based on the amount of product moved by not only themselves, but also by those whom they recruit as distributors.
As each distributor recruits others to become distributors, they create what is known as a downline and in addition to their own retail sales commissions, they earn a wholesale commission on the amount of products their downline distributors move to consumers. This process goes on for some designated number of levels and is where the term “multi level” originates.
The more recruits a distributor can get under them, the larger their downline and therefore the larger their total commissions. How many levels a distributor can earn commissions from in their depends upon the particular company’s compensation plan. Five to seven or more levels is not unusual.
A strong incentive is thus created not only for a distributor to recruit more distributors for their downline, but also to train them to move products as well. Thus a successful distributor will want to duplicate their success by teaching their downline members how to be successful. By making their downline members successful, they make themselves more successful.
Those who can successfully recruit, train, and retain can create small fortunes and develop a large stable residual income that will support them for years to come. Although not easy, it can be quite rewarding.
In fact, millions of people are earning a solid income from the comfort of their own home while being their own boss. With MLM, you don’t need an expensive office anymore. A telephone, basic computer, fax machine, a HUGE ambition, and the knowledge of how to proceed to grow your business are all it really takes! Tips for Easy Internet Marketing
Internet Marketing is the most common topic that comes up with my small business clients. Their biggest concern is learning how to make money with the website they have. This isnt unusual. Big businesses wonder the same thing.
Most entrepreneurs don’t recognize their tactical advantage over their larger competitors. The larger business may have more money but the smaller business is generally quicker to react to changes in the market because their information is not “filtered” through a sales force. Online marketing allows a small business owner to use this information and respond quickly via the internet. Yes, the trade off is a time or money issue, but trust me, the time spent now will reap big rewards later.
Marketing a business offline is something entrepreneurs know how to do. It’s all about networking and convincing referrers to recommend them over their competitors. They don’t realize that the same things are also true online. To them, Internet Marketing is an unfathomable medium that they don’t understand. For those that fall into this category, email marketing may be a better way to “dip their toes into the water.” Email is something they understand and are familiar with. Using it to marketing their business is something most have at least thought about. All they need is a little nudge.
Over time, more avenues for promotion will be necessary. Internet Marketing is about much more than email. Some of the other activities would include:
* Complimentary services may provide the opportunity to place banner ads
* Optimize the website for specific keywords
* Many potential clients use online forums to generate referrals and learn more about a product or service. It’s important to have a presence.
* Use email to stay in touch and build a relationship with other business people and prospects
* Start their own topic based forum group on a site such as Ning.
* Posting opinions, reviews, or demonstrating expertise can help develop expert status
The list is not designed to overwhelm those new to internet marketing. It’s purpose is show that there is more than one way to promote a business. The best way is still to take one tactic before trying something new.

Good Customer Service Starts With A CRM Strategy
Do you focus on your needs, or do you focus on your customers needs?
Good Customer Service is so hard to come by. Sure, I’ve seen those ladies in the windowless pit as I strolled through a client site. They’d obviously been there for years. But were they good? I guess I would have to ask you if you plan for good customer service? Is it part of your CRM strategy?
Putting together a CRM strategy is critical before reviewing the information flow through your company. Your service reps are one of the best sources of information you have about your customers. If you foster good service, you will get good information and your customers will walk away happy and loyal.
If there were four corners of CRM, good customer service would be one of them. Customer service has a unique perspective on the mood of your customers since they have to deal with all scenarios, both good and bad. That’s why it’s important to include the customer service manager, as well as a couple of key customer service representatives, on your CRM planning team.
Key Customer Service Points
When frustration sets in, many companies begin offering discounts. That tends create short term satisfaction, but not long term customer loyalty. It’s a one time shot. That simply trains them to look for the next best deal; whether it’s from you or a competitor. Strong sales people believe in the brute force approach. They just love to work hard for a sale. As a business owner, you should really want happy, loyal customers who keep coming back because of the relationship. You want them to recommend you to friends as well.
There are varying opinions on the key factors that go into good customer service. These are only a few. You can make your own list, or use this as a starting point for your CRM planning.
* Be Truthful – No matter the scenario, it never profits to lie. If you make a practice of it, you’ll get caught and the repercussions could be vast. If you can’t deliver something, don’t say you can.
* Go the extra mile – Again, thinking long term instead of short term will pay off in your customer relationships, which makes your relationships, and your business, more valuable.
* Be there when they need you – That means answering the phone, responding to emails, whatever. If they have to wait too long, they’re gone…
* Open your ears – Stop talking and listen to what your customer is saying. And when there’s emotion involved, it generally means reading between the lines.
* When a customer is upset, listen even more – There’s no gain in cutting them off or trying to calm them down. They will usually talk themselves out of it, or at least calm down so you can offer help
Keep your customers happy, loyal and valuable by factoring good customer service into your CRM plan.
